The Story
Where the Fire Started
The whole thing began with a bid to impress someone. Terry cooked her dinner; she enjoyed it, and he discovered he was hooked. From there he dove into cookbooks and food shows, cooking anything he could get his hands on. Inside a year, people were paying him to do it.
The requests came well before any thought of turning it into a business. Once the orders kept stacking up, the writing was on the wall. That was 25+ years back, and Kirkindoll Catering hasn’t slowed since.
These days, Terry works out of a licensed kitchen in Bakersfield, California, but he splits time between cooking on-site and off. He’s fed people in all sorts of locations and conditions over the years - versatility earned the hard way.
